Shannon Culp is an experienced leader and Information Security professional in the areas of building Information Security Programs, Governance, Identity and Access Management, Computer Forensics, Risk Management, Compliance, PCI, Application Security, Policies and Standards, Sarbanes Oxley, HIPAA Security, GDPR, Security Awareness programs, Vulnerability Management programs, designing Security Architecture Methodology for a Big 4 company, Business Continuity programs and Business Impact Analysis. She leverages ISO 27001 & 27002, ISO 27005, ITIL, and NIST extensively. Ms. Culp has served as CISO for several large companies in the Healthcare, Financial Services and Manufacturing industry, and has operated in CISO forums since 2001. She was a Manager in the Security Practice at Ernst & Young, LLP, serving as BCP Practice Leader for the Ohio Valley. She has also held several Director and Global Leadership roles with large organizations overseeing Information Security Programs, Governance, Risk, Compliance and Awareness. She has proven her ability, with over 30 years’ experience in Information Security, to build and manage global and corporate security programs for Manufacturing, Healthcare, Financial Services, Logistics, and Insurance industries.

Current Volunteer activities:

• I have been involved with the FBI Cincinnati Citizens Alumni association Board since 2005. I recently served as Vice President. I am actively involved in planning our major event at Top Golf on October 1st to benefit survivors of Human Trafficking.

• Co-founder and former president of BEPA (Business Emergency Planning Association) under the American Red Cross

• Co-Director of Logistics and events for GetWITit (focused on getting women involved in IT, inspiring and raising women up)

• Adjunct professor at Thomas More University for MIS460 – Cyber Security

• Graduate of the Campbell County Citizens Academy graduated November 15, 2023

• Member of the CCPA (Cincinnati Citizens Police Association)

• Member of ISSA (Information Systems Security Association) – Previously served as Program Director

• I frequently recruit at universities and speak to classes on STEM. I also visit career days and speak at elementary, middle, and high schools to get kids interested in STEM and Cyber Security.

• Level III certified in Homeland Security

• I help my daughter coach my 11-year-old granddaughter’s team in Volleyball

• Co-organizer of the 911 5k run/walk to benefit the 911 Disaster Relief fund in 2001,
